In the modern era when mobile plays a vital role in people's day today activities. Due to digitization of books there are many excellent attempts at building a vigorous document analysis system in industries and research labs. It is an android based mobile application containing OCR and TTS for English languages as a single product by resolving problems in existing systems. The image skew will reduce the OCR accuracy drastically due to the angle view of the document. Therefore after doing the image skew detection optical image is passed to the OCR engine to convert the image to character streams representing letters of recognized words. the converted text output is accessed by the TTS system to convert the textual content into a voice output.
This project mainly emphasizes on the POV (Persistence of Vision) technology with the help some mechanical arrangement, LED, equipment required, and consequently general cost is sliced to extremely moderate cost. support and repairing of the display is easy to the point for anybody having a little electronics education can deal with this. This propeller display will be mechanically examined and shows the characters in advanced arrangement and data to be shown can be either fed by assembly level program or by an android application using Bluetooth. This propeller comprises of only 8 RGB LEDs which are arranged on to demonstrate the display. For building this project, necessity is only an Arduino board, a position encoder, and LEDs. This display can demonstrate the messages, which will require 665 LEDs. So equipment and cost minimization is accomplished.
The tourism industry is a fast growing sector in today's world that has penetrated itself in digital domain. Tourists are unable to fetch necessary information that could be required at the time of emergency due to absence or inappropriate mobile network connectivity. This project work aims at developing a module along with an app for tourists which would provide them all the required information about nearby places, directions to reach them along with the emergency contact numbers. The information is provided by the kiosk being installed at different places via BLE Technology. App VOYAGER is an user-friendly interface between user and kiosk that enables tracking of tourists thus saving many lives.
This application portrays the general feature of obtaining news in the eyes of a journalist. This serves as a great tool in the coming of ages. Every Journalist working for a concerned firm will be having a reporter ID and password, which he uses for logging in. There is a provision for external registration and new registration. Once he is logged in. Cued Click Points (CCP) is proposed, involving selecting points on images for secure and user-friendly access. Initial user studies show CCP's advantages over PassPoints, as users find it easier and more secure. CCP is used for secure SMS access, concealing messages from the mobile device's inbox and general notifications.
In this project, we introduce "route-zooming," a novel technique for seamless spatio-temporal data visualization. It broadens selected routes in a map while minimizing road network distortion. This approach reveals spatial and temporal patterns without occlusion, applied to metro maps and illustrative examples. We demonstrate its usability with real traffic flow data and validate design choices through a user study.

However, MOOCs' large class sizes can lead to high dropout rates. To address this, we propose a cloud-based personalized learning platform powered by an efficient facial analytics algorithm. This platform monitors learners' real-time responses to resources like TED Talks, YouTube, or MERLOT on mobile devices, identifying challenging topics and allowing interactive quizzes. Data on learning progress is securely uploaded to a password-protected cloud platform, ensuring compatibility across various mobile devices. This innovation holds promise for the future of open learning and education.
Droid Fare Trips is an android application that helps users obtain discount rates for travel-related purchases such as airline tickets, train tickets, cab, restaurants and hotel stays. The company is not a direct supplier of these services; instead it facilitates the provision of travel services by its suppliers to its customers. With this application the user can find some services. In Hotel deals the user can search particular hotels by entering its pin code for their prices, rating and other deals in it. In Cab service the user can book the cabs. It will locate the user’s location and trace the final destination address. With this application the user can calculate the distance, travelling cost and the shortest path to reach the destination. User can select one from them and book a taxi via message or call. Application also having an option to list the nearest places of tourist attraction and its details.
This work is regarding a student- designed project allowing users to be able to control multiple appliances remotely from a single mobile device. The project involves the use of Bluetooth communication and the Arduino Uno Rev 3 Microcontroller. The whole idea is to design an app on an Android cell phone using AC power. Although there are commercially available products on the market that implement the control of multiple applications with a single device, this project is a teaching point for students to build their own communication networks, creating Android apps, and practice electrical operation of circuits.
